Your role as a Care Assistant
Care Assistant roles can be an extremely rewarding field. Every day you will be helping to improve lives, working on the front line of Health and Social Care with a wide variety of clientele. Care Assistants provide support to the disabled, elderly, dementia patients, long-term ill and individuals with learning difficulties, so your role can be very varied and no days will ever be the same! You can work as a care assistant in a residential or nursing home or in a respite care setting. We also offer some 1:1 position in supported living accommodation.
Main duties of a Care Assistant
- maintaining their hygiene
- ensuring they receive healthy meals and fluids
- helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills.
The Care Assistant role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, being a good listener and encouraging them to take part in activities and socialising with other residents, all of which contributes positively to their wellbeing.
Required skills and experience of a Care Assistant
Swanley is a town based in North West Kent and sits close to the London Borough of Bexley and neighbouring areas of Dartford and Sevenoaks. Due to its proximity right next to the M25 and M20 motorways and being within easy reach of both London and the Coast, the area is popular with the freight and logistics industry.
The Town Centre is currently awaiting a regeneration project which will create 303 new homes and 4,318 square metres of commercial and retail space, Sevenoaks Council has also recently announced plans for a £17m investment for a new leisure centre in the town.

Responsible for leading a team of two, including trainingand supportinga Delivery & Installation Assistant. Lead by example: promote a high standard of customer care and service, workin asafe and efficientmanner, and uphold professional behaviours at all times. Responsible for the full operation ofassigned deliveryvan. Ensure all necessary checks are carried out so that the vehicle is safe and legal. Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness. Work efficiently and professionally to ensure all goods aredeliveredon time. Receive, load and unloadorders. Responsible for safe manual handling of goods during loading and delivery, adhering to company policies and procedures to mitigate risk and create a culture of safety. Provideprofessionalassistance to thecustomers upon delivery. Safely and efficiently install and connect theproducts within customers’ homes. Remove old customer products. Requirements: Physically fit and able to manual handle large kitchen appliances (bending, lifting, rotating, push, pull, etc.). Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Experience in the appliance or consumer electronics industry is desirable. An effective communicator and confident with customer interactions. Genuine interest in home installations, general home maintenance and competent in connecting electronics would be highly beneficial. Have the ability to show a positive and progressive attitude and a flexible approach to change. Have a strong desire for self-development and a willingness to learn new skills.
