Your role as a Carer
Carer roles can be an extremely rewarding field. Every day you will be helping to improve lives, working on the front line of Health and Social Care with a wide variety of clientele. Carer's provide support to the disabled, elderly, dementia patients, long-term ill and individuals with learning difficulties, so your role can be very varied and no days will ever be the same! You can work as a carer in a residential or nursing home or in a respite care setting. We also offer some 1:1 position in supported living accommodation.
Main duties of a Carer
- maintaining their hygiene
- ensuring they receive healthy meals and fluids
- helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills.
The Carer role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, being a good listener and encouraging them to take part in activities and socialising with other residents, all of which contributes positively to their wellbeing.

We are recruiting on behalf of a small independent residential home in Ipswich with only 27 residents looking for a Head Chef to run their brigade of 4 kitchen staff. Job Title: DBS Head Chef Location: Ipswich Salary: £21,500 - £23,500 DOE The role of a Head Chef: Working as a Head Chef for our client you will be managing every aspect of catering within the location, delivering a quality catering service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements. Leading the catering team and managing performance. Maintaining compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards. Controlling kitchen stock, equipment and resources within budget. The right applicant will have done a similar role in a similar environement with a minimum of 12 months management experience. You will need to hold an in date Enhanced DBS and Level 2 / 3 Food Hygiene Certificate. This role is 37.5 hours per week on a rota with the team, to commence end of June 2021. Due to increasing demand from our clients in Suffolk, Norfolk & Essex, we are looking to recruit additional DBS Chef’s with experience of working within care homes. Job Title: DBS Chef Location: Suffolk, Norfolk & Essex Salary: £11.00 - £14.00 per hour The role of a DBS Chef: Working as a Chef within our client’s team, you will be required to assist with the daily food preperation and cooking of all meals to a high standard, some assisting with preparing food trolleys and delivering to the wards may be required. Keeping all areas clean following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines. Working hours are usually 0730 – 1800 and will require weekend working. Working 8 hour shifts.
