Your role as a Carer
Carer roles can be an extremely rewarding field. Every day you will be helping to improve lives, working on the front line of Health and Social Care with a wide variety of clientele. Carer's provide support to the disabled, elderly, dementia patients, long-term ill and individuals with learning difficulties, so your role can be very varied and no days will ever be the same! You can work as a carer in a residential or nursing home or in a respite care setting. We also offer some 1:1 position in supported living accommodation.
Main duties of a Carer
- maintaining their hygiene
- ensuring they receive healthy meals and fluids
- helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills.
The Carer role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, being a good listener and encouraging them to take part in activities and socialising with other residents, all of which contributes positively to their wellbeing.
Required skills and experience of a Carer
£9 - 11 Per Hour
Due to our continuing client base expansion we are urgently looking for more experienced carers for a new Nursing Home we are supplying in Lewisham. As we are so busy we are only looking for carers that can commit to a MINIMUM of 3 long days/ nights per week. We have shifts that we are trying to fill every day of the week! Shift times are either 08.00am-8.00 pm or nights with times of 8pm-8am. Pay rates start at a minimum of £9.00 per hour, with holiday pay as well. We pay weekly, directly into your bank account every Friday. We also supply a lot of other clients in this area so we can definitely keep you busy! We provide free training if needed, both classroom based and online so we can easily arrange this if required! You will need to have the following experience and attributes: Minimum of 6 months experience as a carer or support worker A caring nature A passion for helping residents A flexible approach towards shifts Driving licence an advantage but not essential We will be conducting interviews either in our office in Swanley or in London SE1 for your convenience.
