Your Role as a Class 1 Driver
Haulage and logistics is the 5th largest UK Employment sector, this means that Class 1 Drivers are in demand. You can work on short or long haul delivery runs on either a permanent or flexible contract. Class 1 Drivers are able to drive Category C+E vehicles which include articulated lorries. Daily Duties of a Class 1 Driver
- Plan delivery routes and ensure that routes maximise productivity.
- For goods to be delivered, drivers must communicate with customers to coordinate drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Supervising the Loading of Goods
- To ensure the safety of the product, drivers check that all products are safely secured for transport.
- Route Alterations- Sometimes, routes must be altered if there are accidents or large amounts of traffic.
- Lorry inspections to be sure that it complies with national safety regulations and legal requirements.
- Logging hours and filing delivery forms are the responsibility of the driver.
- If a driver notices an issue with the lorry, it is the driver’s responsibility to see that it gets the proper maintenance.
- Drivers must report any accident or issue to the company dispatcher.
- To ensure customer satisfaction, drivers must interact with customers politely and address any concerns a customer may have.
Required Experience and Skills of a Class 1 Driver
- Good driving skills and knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations.
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues
- Mechanical and vehicle knowledge
- Polite, courteous, respectful and helpful.
- Self motivation and ability to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete Paperwork and often use hand-held electronic devices to log your deliveries.

Technical Support Desk Operator

The Role: To work as part of a technical support team that provide 24hr support to users of software and data delivery services, third party software products and internal ICT assistance when required. Key Responsibilities and Duties: To provide general administrative support to the Technical Support team, tasks as directed by the department management To respond to customer enquiries regarding the installation, issues, operation and fault-finding of proprietary software, data services, third party software and digital products professionally and courteously and within specified departmental SLAs. To take responsibility for projects and initiatives in order to assist in the upgrade of proprietary and third-party software on board vessels. To inspect incoming Support cases in order to prioritise and manage allocation to the Technical Support team Current working hours are as follows: Monday to Friday (office based): 08:00-16.00 hrs, 10:00-18.00 hrs, 14:00-22:00 hrs (home based) Saturday & Sunday (home based): 06:00-14:00 hrs, 14:00-22:00 hrs, 15:00-23:00 hrs. Frequently work on Saturday & Sunday as regular shift, taking Monday & Tuesday as days off. The Role: The Information Technology (IT) Department provides support for all the IT systems, services and telecommunications including fixed and mobile to all the sites worldwide. The IT Systems and Support Engineer will be responsible for the IT infrastructure and ensuring tickets & tasks on the IT helpdesk are completed for swift resolution of faults. Key Responsibilities and Duties: To be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of first-line and second-line support to the organization and act as the first point of contact on the IT Service Desk. To provide IT support & preventative maintenance for all the office sites worldwide. To update Service Desk calls with progress notes, detailing progress on the task for both the end user and other team members.
