Your role as a Healthcare Assistant
Healthcare Assistant roles can be an extremely rewarding field. Every day you will be helping to improve lives, working on the front line of Health and Social Care with a wide variety of clientele. Healthcare Assistants provide support to the disabled, elderly, dementia patients, long-term ill and individuals with learning difficulties, so your role can be very varied and no days will ever be the same! Main duties of a Healthcare Assistant
- maintaining their hygiene
- ensuring they receive healthy meals and fluids
- helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills.
The Healthcare Assistant role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, being a good listener and encouraging them to take part in activities and socialising with other residents, all of which contributes positively to their wellbeing.

DBS Kitchen Assistant

Due to increasing demand from our client based outskirts Ipswich, we are looking to recruit additional DBS Kitchen Assistants with experience of working within schools & care homes. Job Title: DBS Kitchen Assistant Location: Outskirts Ipswich Salary: £9.00 per hour The role of a Kitchen Assistant: Working as a Kitchen Assistant within our client’s team, you will be required to assist with the daily food preperation of all meals to a high standard, pot washing, keeping all preperation areas clean following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines. Working hours are 1200 – 2000 5 days out of 7 every other weekend. The requirements of a Kitchen Assistant: A minimum of 6 months previous experience Food Hygiene Certificate level 2 dated within the last 3 years DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service (if you do not have one, one can be applied for) What do you need to think about before applying?
