Your role as a Healthcare Assistant
Healthcare Assistant roles can be an extremely rewarding field. Every day you will be helping to improve lives, working on the front line of Health and Social Care with a wide variety of clientele. Healthcare Assistants provide support to the disabled, elderly, dementia patients, long-term ill and individuals with learning difficulties, so your role can be very varied and no days will ever be the same! You can work as a healthcare assistant in a residential or nursing home or in a respite care setting. We also offer some 1:1 position in supported living accommodation.
Main duties of a Healthcare Assistant
- maintaining their hygiene
- ensuring they receive healthy meals and fluids
- helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills.
The Healthcare Assistant role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, being a good listener and encouraging them to take part in activities and socialising with other residents, all of which contributes positively to their wellbeing.

We are looking for a resilient Resourcer to be a part of these Swan's success story! There's no room for coasters in this team; only real grafters make it into this flock so be prepared for hard work, a lot of phone calls and shifts coming out of your ears! The part you'll be playing; As a Resourcer with us you'll wear many hats (figuratively speaking!). You'll play an incredibly important role in the ultimate success of the team. Without you, we have no candidates. Without candidates, we have no business. And our business is placing temporary staff into temporary vacancies for our clients. You'll be required to source the best candidates on behalf of our clients. So, you'll have your finger on the pulse when it comes to modern sourcing methods - LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc. as well as using the more traditional methods. Once you've found the best people, you'll then facilitate the process, from being an applicant to a 'live' candidate - you'll conduct a thorough face to face interview to get a better understanding of their strengths and requirements. Once they are 'live' you'll work closely with a Recruitment Consultant (your partner in crime!) to ensure that the candidate is provided with as much work as they require - ensuring that both candidate and client are always happy & always receive outstanding levels of service.
