Cafcass Payroll Co-ordinator (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service)

Basic Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 D.O.E

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30

Located: Dartford (Head Office)

Reporting to: Finance Manager

The part you’ll be playing;

Cafcass looks after the interest of children involved in family proceedings. It is independent of the courts and social services, but works under the rules of the family court and legislation to work with children and their families, and then advise the courts on what is considered to be in the best interest of individual children.

Another entity to our business is Swan Family.This is where we provide a professional supervised contact service to help provide family support through difficult times in their lives. We operate 9 Children’s Contact Centres on behalf of local authorities across the UK, whereby qualified professionals supervise these allocated contact sessions allowing family members to spend time with their children.

As a Cafcass Payroll Co-ordinator, you’ll be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the Cafcass service. As well as being the first point of contact, you will manage the referral, make the booking and assign the contact accordingly (this will either be in-house or sub-contracted).

You’ll be processing weekly timesheets, analysing timesheets against our working calendar and building spreadsheets for reporting purposes and submitting all reports to the Finance Manager.

Prior experience in a similar position is desirable, in a busy and deadline driven environment and you’ll have strong analytical skills. To fit in with us, you will need to be the ambitious type, who completes one challenge and then says, “what next?”.

Our Accounts department is made up of an incredibly busy team of 4. You will be providing payroll and administrative support to Cafcass. You’ll be joining a fun, sociable and lively team working in the coolest office outside of London.

*20 days holiday when you commence employment, after the successful completion of your probation you will be given an extra 5 days holiday. After 2 years’ service holiday increases to 28 days plus bank holidays.
