Job Title: Finance Assistant
Hours: 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
I have a great opportunity based in Swanley to work with a growing finance team. You will be working as a Finance Assistant supporting the Accounting team in their responsibilities of managing assigned Project Portfolios. This will mainly include the maintenance of financial records, processing of payments, raising of invoices and general administrative duties relating to Project support.
The role of a Finance Assistant:
o Raising of monthly invoices, including performing detailed calculations where necessary.
o Posting sales receipts to ledgers (Exchequer).
o Resolution of sales ledger queries.
o Posting of purchase invoices to ledgers (Exchequer).
o Arranging authorisation of purchase invoices;
o Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices.
o Reviewing of the utilities invoices and liaising with subcontractors.
o Preparing the monthly payment run, ensuring efficiency and timeliness of the process.
o Resolution of purchase ledger queries
o Posting bank and cash book transactions.
o Monthly reconciliation of bank account balances.
o Monthly reconciliation of other nominal ledger accounts.
o Preparing VAT and CIS returns.
