We are looking for an exceptional support worker who can also do administration for the residents within the homeless shelter

You will be lone working but will also assist in helping residents fill their paperwork call councils discuss case for the resident and help them get there administration paper work in order

The main duties and responsibilities will involve the following:

  • Responsible for opening and closing the scheme
  • Completing new tenancy sign-up paperwork
  • Discussing the terms of occupation with new residents, completing/ signing paperwork to create new tenancy
  • Completion of risk assessments and support plans with customer involvement
  • Managing a caseload of tenants- providing support with benefit applications, signposting to specialist support agencies, competing referrals where appropriate
  • Knowledge of safeguarding
  • Liaising with local authority, supporting tenants to complete essential personal housing plan tasks
  • Inspecting properties at start/ end of tenancy and reporting repairs/ furniture needs
  • Participation in the completion of a range of health & safety tasks ( testing of fire panel, void flushes etc)
  • Reviewing CCTV

37.5 hours a week

Monday to Friday 8am - 3.30 pm and 11.30am – 7pm

You will currently have a enhanced DBS or on the update service have min 6mths experience within support work
