Swanstaff Swanley is urgently looking for experienced Kitchen Assistants for an immediate start in a care home based in Peckham. This is an ongoing role 5 days a week but the days in which you work will vary week to week. All applicants will need to apply for an enhanced DBS check and also have Level 2 Food Hygiene Training. We can organise online training if required. These are very busy roles in a hot environment! Job title: Kitchen Assistant Location: Peckham, London Rate of pay: £8.72 - £9.50 per hour The role of a Kitchen Assistant: Prepare and serve meals to people in nursing homes. This will involve washing up dirty cooking utensils and crockery. Be aware of peoples religious and cultural backgrounds and how it might impacts their dietary requirements Monitor kitchen stocks Order kitchen supplies Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times The requirements of a Kitchen Assistant: Be able to follow instructions Pay attention to detail Work as part of a team Treat all with respect Be a good listener A valid DBS Level 2 Food Hygiene training Benefits of working for Swanstaff: Regular work, Monday to Sunday.
