Swanstaff are looking for a superstar Warehouse Team Leader to join our client on a full time permanent basis. Our client is the supplier of Italian produce nationally including dairy, confectionary fish and vegetables. They are looking for a candidate whom has come from a team leader background within a similar environment to join the team and hit the ground running.
This is a permanent position working from 2:30PM to 10:30PM Monday to Friday, working 1x 10 hour weekend shift every 4 weeks.
Job title: Mid Shift Team Leader
Location: Cheshunt
Rate of pay: £18,750 per annum
The role of a Mid Shift Team Leader:
- Enter stock, release orders, amend orders and produce invoices on Navision system
- Measure performance through accurate records and relevant targets
- Ensure the team are multi-skilled across all roles and duties in the warehouse
- Co-ordinate daily tasks and delegate fairly, with the Duty Supervisor
- Conduct investigations, as required (underperformance, accidents, stock damage, etc.)
- Guide and support the team to maximise efficiency
- Support the management of the performance of the team, ensuring high performance
- Identify performance gaps and provide necessary training and support
- Ensure an accurate record of stock levels is kept and maintained
- Keep paper records up-to-date (for e.g. cleaning records, temperature checks, forklift checks, etc)
- Deal with and resolve queries and issues, quickly and effectively.
- Maintain clean work areas at all times
- Obey Health & Safety laws and rules at all times
- Comply with all policies and procedures with regards to Food Safety, Quality and legality at all times.
- Any other task as reasonably required by the business.
Requirements of a Mid Shift Team Leader:
- Supervisory skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English language.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of health and safety.
- Experience working with food, desirable.
- Forklift license, desirable.
- Any other task as reasonably required by the business.
