Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Bedford
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
Shift: Monday – Friday (13:00-21:00)

This role is to support the overall growing operations, providing senior support to junior staff and be a point of contact for the depot management.
Ensuring company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures. Responsible for KPI’s, standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

The Role:

  • Have a clear understanding of shift handover with your respective Team leader to ensure targets met and well organised daily plans in place to meet business demands (especially in relation to holiday or absence cover of colleagues), escalating issues to Depot Manager where necessary.
  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
  • Ensure orders/items of kit are processed efficiently and that the delivery of goods meets customers timescales/requirements.
  • Lead, plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods as they move through to assessing.
  • Support the efficient processing of orders to meet customers timescales/requirements.
  • Support the Warehouse FLT team to keep a continued supply of stock for processing.
  • Support the Sales Managers with outgoing orders (liaise with Logistics and the FLT team when required)
  • Provide absence cover which may cover all warehouse responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements.
  • Deliver the product to the customer on time, every time using appropriate methods.
  • Lead, follow up and resolve Customer concerns.
  • Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures and identify training needs.
  • bIn conjunction with the Depot Manager, implement warehouse and management systems and working practices in line with best practice and continuous improvement; suggest changes to warehouse practises as applicable.
  • Supporting the Depot Manager to plan future capacity requirements such as overtime and absence cover.
