Overview

This course is primarily for those who work within a health & social care setting caring for individuals with Parkinson’s. Delegates will learn about the causes of Parkinson’s and be able to understand what occurs as the illness progresses. They will also learn about medication and treatments for Parkinson's Disease.

Aims of this course
  • To provide the basic facts about Parkinson’s and the way the body reacts
  • To answer the most commonly asked questions and to challenge the myths
  • To  help staff working with people who have Parkinson’s to fully understand the condition and feel confident in dealing with it
  • To encourage workers to help people with Parkinson’s to lead as full and active a life as possible.
